Long Time

Well it has been a while since I got on. Our life is going really great. Rubi is growing so fast. Just last week she started playing with her dolls, she feeds them, wraps them in blankets, and gives them loves. It's the cutest thing ever! I truly cannot believe how fast she has grown. We are heading to Texas at the end of this month to go visit the family and see new baby Jackson. It should be a lot of fun.

1 YEAR

Man this past year has gone by so so fast. Rubi is turning one tomorrow and we have been so busy. We are paying someone to finish up our basement and so we are so excited, it's really coming together. This weekend is Rubi's birthday party and we are having family over in the afternoon and then later we are having cousins and friends over. Should be a good time. Then next weekend I am having a baby shower for my sister in law. They are having a little girl, due on March 28th and I cannot wait! So I think the next couple of weekends are going to be busy!

Friends and Family

I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. Not only my family, but my friends that I have had for years, Chelles family and new friends that I pick up along the way. One of the biggest blessings in my life is finding Chelle, she is so wonderful and I am so glad I opened up my mind and my heart to someone a little out of my comfort zone. We have been so lucky in our life and Rubi is such a lucky little girl to have so many wonderful people in her life. This past weekend has been so nice, I have been kind of a hermit since Rubi was born (yes I know a long time) and I am starting to feel more like getting out, maybe it's the weather looking up that is helping :). But whatever it is I am glad.

LONG TIME

Wow it has certainly been a while. Things have been so so busy. Rubi is so big now, she got her first tooth at ten months and now at 11 months she has 3 teeth and is working on a fourth (that is a lot of fun). She started walking just recently right about when she hit 11 months. She is so wobbly, but totally cute. I love watching her. She will bend down and try to pick things up while she is walking and sometimes the things she picks up are so heavy for her, but she is a determined little girl. Sometimes the determination is good and sometimes(bedtime:)its not.
We had the opportunity to go to Texas for Thanksgiving and I absolutely loved it. Chelle has a Brother, niece, and nephew who live out there and they are wonderful people. I so enjoyed their company and hospitality. They are such caring people and I truly felt more than welcome there. We drove, took us two days, since Rubi was so little we did our driving at night. That was hard, but definitely worth it to not have to try to calm an irritated baby during the day. Luckily Rubi does great in her car seat and she slept pretty much the entire drive.
Chelle and I have decided that we are ready to expand our family and so I recently started going to the doctor to get ready to do another round of artificial insemination. I don't think we are going to be quite as lucky this time. I imagine it will take a few tries, but who knows, I thought the same thing with Rubi and we were lucky enough to only have to try once. They have changed some laws so we have to jump through a couple more hoops to get the process started, but we will get there and soon!
I honestly can't believe that it's 2010, I think this is going to be a great year. I am really hoping that I will be able to qualify for some financial aid and finally start school like I really want too. I know we are going to be getting a tent trailer in the next month or so and I know Chelle is very excited to camp a lot more this year than we have in the past. I am also excited as I do love being outdoors (as long as it's not raining).
Well I am hoping to get a little better about updating this as I do enjoy letting people(anyone who wants to read about our boring life)know how things are going with us. I will also be on again soon to put up some pictures of our big girl.

Busy Life

Life has been so busy for us lately. Since having Rubi it seems like there is never time to slow down. My 26th birthday was the 31st of July and Chelle surprised me by getting her brother to watch Rubi for us so we could go have dinner and spend some time together. Rubi hit her 6 months on 08/06/09 and I can't believe how big she is. We got her pics taken at JC Penny and they turned out really cute. She still doesn't have any teeth and we are still working on crawling, I can't believe she isn't crawling yet, but she does get around by rolling. We are going to Bear Lake next weekend, it will be the first time for Rubi and I. We got her a life jacket and I can't wait to see her in it in the water.

Life

Things have been pretty good in the Smith house. We could use a bit more money, but who couldn't right? Little Miss Rubi Jayne is getting so big, she can sit up on her own now, she still needs to learn balance, but does pretty good. She is also trying to figure out how to crawl and that is stinkin adorable. She gets on her knees and hands and rocks back and forth and then she will get one knee forward, but she can't get her hand to move so she faceplants it. I think she will be mobile here in the next couple weeks. I'm gonna need to do some major baby proofing in my house. She is also making more noises and grabbing everything in sight. Its so neat to watch her develop.
Chelle and I have been working opposing schedules so we don't see each other as often as we would like and that is really hard, but we try to make the best of our weekends. Last weekend we took a road trip to Pocotello to see my cousin at his wedding reception. It was a nice drive and we went to Idaho Falls and the falls there were so pretty, I was pretty surprised. Rubi went swimming for the first time in Suzies (chelles sister best friend) pool, it was really cute, she just kept splashing, she thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Family

Chelles brother and his family are in town from Texas. We went up and saw them last night. They all look great and its nice to see them. Rubi was able to meet them for the first time and I met Michael, Chelles nephew, for the first time. We are going up for burgers tomorrow night so hopefully we can get some pictures taken.
